On August 10th, Laney Grace turned 2 years old! It's difficult to think of her as that old, but she has been trying out the new attitude. Laney has changed so much. She is now speaking in sentences, doing everything on her own (we hear "Laney do it" about 100 times a day). She is just amazing. Our favorite new sentence is "I love you...". sometimes it's "I love you" ends in "Daddy", "Mommy", "Habree Cware", or someone else that's around.
Her 2 year old birthday started off by going to Nana's for birthday pancakes and a few gifts from Nana and aunt Sydney. She played, swam, and of course jumped on the trampoline. After lunch, she took a nap as we prepared for her pink birthday party (which meant a lot of last minute yard work for Daddy).
When Laney got up from her nap, her party began. She walked outside for only a few seconds, and when we turned around, she had already found the forks and dug a huge bite right out of the side of her birthday cake (it was HER cake afterall). We were cracking up, because it all happened so fast it's almost impossible that she hadn't planned it all out ahead of time. She had so much fun with family and friends. Thank you everyone for making her second birthday so special.
August 10th, Laney's little sister also turned 2... 2 months of course. We cannot believe how much she has already changed. At her 2-month doctor's appt., she now weighs 10.8 pounds! I couldn't believe it. The doctor said she is absolutely perfect (and is 50% in wieght and height). She has recently found her hand, and apparently loves the way it tastes. She has been getting much stronger and has turned over a few times. She also is able to hold her head up when she is on her back, belly, or is being held vertically.
